8440-1706/D is a Woodward SPM-D11 series microprocessor based generator synchronous parallel controller , manufactured in Poland, and is a discontinued spare part mainly used for grid control of AC generator sets.
8440-1706/D Core function: Complete automatic matching of voltage, frequency, and phase between the generator and the power grid, and achieve synchronous closing of circuit breakers; 8440-1706/D supports active and reactive load distribution among multiple units, and integrates generator protection function to prevent damage to units caused by reverse power, overvoltage, undervoltage and other faults. It can complete control logic such as isolated grid operation, busbar no voltage closing, soft unloading, power factor adjustment, etc. It is often used in conjunction with speed regulators and AVR voltage regulators to ensure the safe and stable operation of parallel power supply systems for generator units.
