Epro PR6423/014-140+CON21 is a complete set of eddy current displacement sensor system, consisting of PR6424/014-140 probe, supporting extension cable, and CON21 preamplifier. It is now part of Emerson Mechanical Health product line. By relying on the principle of non-contact measurement of eddy currents, real-time acquisition of parameters such as axial displacement, radial vibration, and eccentricity of rotating machinery can be achieved. The preamplifier adjusts and linearly converts the gap change signal sensed by the probe, outputs a standard voltage signal, and connects it to the TSI unit status monitoring system to monitor the rotor position and vibration status in real time, achieve over limit alarm and interlock shutdown, protect large rotating equipment such as steam turbines and compressors, and prevent major equipment accidents such as rotor rubbing.
