560CMU04 is a communication unit module specially designed by ABB for the RTU560 Remote Terminal Unit. It is responsible for data exchange between RTU and on-site I/O board, upper system, and local human-machine interface (MMI), supports multiple serial and Ethernet communication methods, and provides time synchronization function, so that the I/O board can be consistent with the time library of RTU560.

Multi channel communication: 560CMU04 achieves bidirectional data exchange with the control center, on-site I/O board, and local MMI through 4 serial interfaces (optional RS232C, RS422, RS485) and 1 10/100 Mbit/s Ethernet port.
I/O management: Read process events from the input board and write control commands to the output board.
Time synchronization: Utilize the RTU560 time library to maintain a unified time reference for all I/O boards.
Web server: 560CMU04 supports PPP Protocol based web browser access for remote monitoring.
