8440-2165 is an automatic synchronization and load distribution controller for Woodward SPM-D series generator sets, belonging to microprocessor based grid synchronization devices. 8440-2165 Real time collection of voltage, frequency, and phase signals on the generator side and bus side, automatic adjustment of the unit governor and AVR excitation regulator, and completion of automatic quasi synchronous grid connection between the generator unit and the power grid; After grid connection, achieve equal distribution of active and reactive loads among multiple units, while also having generator protection function.

- Automatic quasi synchronization function, automatically adjusting frequency, phase, and voltage, automatically issuing closing instructions when grid connection conditions are met, reducing manual operation errors.
- Support the equal distribution of active and reactive loads among multiple units, ensuring load balance for parallel operation units and avoiding unit overload or reverse power.
- Integrated unit protection: reverse power, overvoltage, undervoltage, overclocking, and low-frequency protection. In case of a fault, it will be locked and connected to the grid, triggering an alarm.
- Analog output can directly drive the speed regulator and excitation regulator, achieving closed-loop regulation of speed and voltage.
