VE4003S2B2 is an 8-channel analog input terminal base with HART protocol for Emerson DeltaV S series DCS system. Used with DeltaV 4-20mA AI main card. VE4003S2B2 serves as the wiring interface between the on-site transmitter and the I/O card, collecting 4-20mA analog signals from the site and supporting HART signal transmission. It can read process variables and equipment diagnostic information of pressure, liquid level, flow rate, and temperature transmitters; VE4003S2B2 has a built-in channel fuse to prevent damage to I/O cards caused by short circuit faults on site. The collected process signals are uploaded to the DCS controller to achieve process parameter acquisition, monitoring, and remote equipment diagnosis.
Main function:
- 8-channel design, compatible with two-wire/four wire 4-20mA transmitters, native support for HART protocol, can directly read intelligent transmitter parameters and equipment fault information.
- Each channel has independent fuse protection. When the on-site circuit is short circuited, the fuse is blown to isolate the fault and protect the backend I/O main card.
- Channel optoelectronic isolation effectively suppresses on-site interference and avoids signal drift caused by ground loops.
- Plug in installation, directly assembled on the DeltaV S series I/O carrier, with screw fastening of wiring terminals for easy wiring maintenance.
- Signal over range detection function, which can identify wire breakage, short circuit, and transmitter faults, and upload them to the DCS system for alarm.
- Compatible with DeltaV system native HART diagnostics, supporting remote configuration and predictive maintenance of on-site instruments
- The single slot compact structure saves installation space inside the control cabinet, has strong stability, and is suitable for continuous and uninterrupted operation.
