GE IC694ALG223 is a high-performance analog current input module widely used in industrial automation and process control fields. The IC694ALG223 module has 16 channels/single ended inputs, each of which can be configured through software to one of three input ranges: 4 to 20 mA, 0 to 20 mA, or 4 to 20 mA enhanced. In all ranges, the alarm limit has an upper and/or lower limit, while in the range of 4 to 20 mA enhancement, the low alarm limit can detect input currents from 4 mA to 0 mA, providing open circuit fault detection in 4 to 20 mA applications.

The resolution of IC694ALG223 module is 12 bits, the update rate is 13 milliseconds, and the input filter response is 200 hertz. It uses 120 mA current from the 5 VDC bus on the PLC backplane and requires 65 mA from the+24 VDC power supply provided by the user plus current loop current. The MODULE OK LED sends module status information when powered on. If the LED displays ON, the status is normal and the module is configured; If it is displayed as OFF, the backplane power supply is not recognized or the watchdog timer has timed out. Continuous rapid flashing indicates that no configuration data has been received from the CPU, while slow flashing followed by extinguishing indicates power on diagnostic failure or encountering code execution errors. The user’s power LED confirms that the external 24 VDC power supply is within the expected specification range.

GE IC694ALG223 configurable parameters include active channel, reference address for input data, length and range, low/high alarm, and I/O scan settings. IC694ALG223 is suitable for GE Fanuc/Emerson RX3i series PLC, which is used to receive analog signals from field devices, such as temperature, pressure, flow rate, etc., and convert these signals into digital signals that can be used by RX3i PLC.
