GE Multilin MIB30LOCE00000 is a high impedance bus differential protection module, which is the core hardware unit of HID high impedance differential protection scheme.
MIB30LOCE00000 is used in conjunction with current transformer CT to form a high impedance differential protection circuit for the busbar. When a short circuit fault occurs in the busbar area, the high-power resistor and MOV metal oxide varistor inside MIB30LOCE00000 quickly act, generating a high voltage signal to drive the external protection relay to trip; When there is a fault outside the area, it can effectively resist the risk of misoperation caused by CT saturation, accurately distinguish between internal faults and external crossing faults of the busbar, achieve rapid protection of high-voltage busbars, widely used in substation busbar protection, prevent the expansion of busbar short circuit accidents, and ensure the safety of primary equipment in the power grid.
