DPS232 is a new generation GNSS differential positioning reference system developed by Kongsberg, mainly aimed at ship dynamic positioning DP systems. It integrates GPS and GLONASS dual frequency satellite reception, is compatible with future Galileo satellite systems, and is designed to provide reliable position reference data for offshore ship operations. DPS232 is widely installed on offshore support ships, shuttle oil tankers, FPSO floating production storage and offloading vessels, and other ships as an important external position sensor for dynamic positioning systems, meeting high-precision positioning requirements in complex sea conditions. The entire system includes a processing unit, GNSS antenna, communication interface components, and outputs standardized positioning data for use by the DP control system, meeting the maritime equipment certification standards of mainstream classification societies.

- Absolute position measurement: Receive multiple satellite signals, combine multiple differential correction sources, and output the ship’s high-precision absolute latitude and longitude position, providing a position reference for the dynamic positioning system.
- To provide a position reference source for DP power positioning, the DP controller relies on the device’s position data to complete ship fixed-point maintenance and trajectory control operations.
- Supporting various differential signal inputs such as SBAS, commercial differential, IALA beacon, etc., switching under different sea conditions to ensure positioning accuracy; Can dock with MRU motion reference unit to complete ship attitude compensation and offset positioning deviation caused by ship sway.
- By outputting NMEA and internal protocol positioning messages through Ethernet and serial port, it can be connected to ship automation and navigation monitoring systems. It also has system alarm output and reports status information to the central control in case of faults.
