Metso A413016 (NCU2, now belonging to Valmet) is a network communication unit module of the Damatic XDi DCS system, serving as a gateway for the system’s network and bus communication network. A413016 serves as a communication hub between the CPU (A413003) and the upper control station, remote rack, responsible for X-bus bus data forwarding, network protocol conversion, and data packaging and transmission; Simultaneously manage node addresses, communication verification, fault retransmission, and undertake the interactive transmission of system alarms, trends, and operation instructions to ensure stable communication between the operator station, engineer station, and controller. A413016 is the core board of the Damatic XDi system network link.

1. Based on X-bus RS485 bus, it supports multi node networking and can connect multiple operation stations and expand I/O racks.
2. Supports dual module redundant deployment, automatically switches when a single communication card fails, and communication is not interrupted.
3. Built in CRC check and error retransmission mechanism to reduce data loss caused by on-site interference.
4. Onboard communication, operation, and fault indicator lights, quickly locate bus disconnections and module faults.
5. Standard plug-in card structure, compatible with Damatic XDi rack, supports hot swapping in redundant configuration.
6. Compatible with the full range of XDi I/O card protocols such as A413003 CPU and A413077 AI.
7. The bus node address hardware can be set, the networking configuration is simple, and it is suitable for old site renovation.
