MB3480 is a 4-port standard Modbus protocol gateway in the Taiwan Moxa MGate MB3000 series, used to achieve bidirectional conversion between Modbus TCP Ethernet protocol and Modbus RTU/ASCII serial protocol. MB3480 connects 4 RS-232/422/485 serial devices to the Ethernet Modbus TCP network, enabling the upper SCADA/PLC system to remotely access on-site serial instruments through Ethernet PLC、 Substation equipment such as frequency converters; It also supports serial master access to Ethernet side Modbus TCP slave. MB3480 can connect up to 16 TCP master stations and 124 serial slave stations, and is the core communication conversion device for industrial fieldbus networking and device networking.

1. Four independent serial ports, each with optional RS-232/422/485 software, can connect up to 124 Modbus serial slave devices on a single machine.
2. Bi directional protocol conversion: Supports Modbus TCP master access to RTU slave and RTU master access to TCP slave, with flexible deployment.
3. Up to 16 TCP master stations can access simultaneously, with a maximum of 32 concurrent requests per master station, meeting the concurrent acquisition requirements of multiple SCADA systems.
4. Supports three routing methods: IP address, TCP port number, and slave ID. Auto Device Routing automatically generates a routing table with one click, greatly reducing configuration workload.
5. ADDC automatic RS-485 data direction control, no external flow control signal required, stable and reliable 485 communication.
6. Built in 120 Ω terminal resistor and up/down resistor, suitable for different 485 bus topologies.
7. Industrial grade wide temperature design (0~55 ℃), metal shell IP30, resistant to EMC/ESD/surge interference, suitable for harsh industrial sites.
