MTL PAC8000 System 8937-HN Fiber Optic Expander Module.

MTL 8937-HN belongs to the fiber optic extender module in the PAC8000 system. 8937-HN is used for converting electrical signals between PAC8000 I/O bus and fiber optic signals, extending the communication distance between PAC8000 nodes and controllers through fiber optic cables, and avoiding electromagnetic interference caused by long-distance copper cables.

Main function:

1.  Complete the bidirectional conversion of PAC8000 system I/O Link electrical signals and fiber optic optical signals to achieve optoelectronic isolation;
2. Extend the communication distance of PAC8000 bus using fiber optic media to solve the problem of long distance between the controller and remote I/O nodes;
3. Electrical isolation on both sides of the bus, blocking ground loop interference and surge interference, and improving communication stability in harsh environments on site;
4. Support point-to-point fiber optic links, which can be used in pairs (local end+remote end) to build long-distance I/O bus links;
5. Panel LED status indicator light, providing feedback on power, transceiver, and link fault status for easy troubleshooting;
6. As a spare part, it is used for replacement and repair of damaged PAC8000 system hardware in stock.
