MVI56-104S is a server communication module developed by ProSoft Technology specifically for the Rockwell ControlLogix (1756) PLC rack. MVI56-104S is directly inserted into the ControlLogix rack as a 104 protocol server, enabling data exchange between PLC and power SCADA dispatch master station; The telemetry and remote signaling data collected internally by the PLC can be uploaded to the scheduling system, while receiving remote control and setting value instructions issued by the scheduling system and writing them into the PLC. MVI56-104S has a built-in register database and serves as a protocol gateway between PLC backboards and Ethernet. It is widely used in the power industry to complete the integration of substation and power plant automation systems with higher-level dispatch platforms.

1.  The IEC 60870-5-104 server serves only as a server, receiving read and write instructions from remote SCADA clients and adapting to domestic power dispatch standards.
2. Native 1756 single slot module, directly installed in the ControlLogix local or remote rack, recognized by PLC as a regular I/O module, without the need for an independent gateway.
3. Support spontaneous transmission (no response message), periodic message, and overall call query, support 24bit/56bit event timing, and meet the power SOE timing recording requirements.
4. Support IP whitelist, restrict allowed access scheduling clients, and enhance network security.
5. Support hot swapping and non-stop module replacement, reducing downtime for power system maintenance.
6. Supporting configuration software, capable of configuring ASDU address and information object address, supporting telemetry, remote signaling, remote control, and cumulative metering points.
7. SNTP network timing ensures synchronization of event times across the entire station and meets the requirements of power dispatch timing.
8. Module backplane data and Ethernet communication are asynchronously transmitted without blocking each other, ensuring stable communication.
