VM-3D2 is a TSI axial displacement (thrust) monitoring module from the Shinkawa VM-3 series in Japan. It belongs to the early rack mounted card insertion monitoring unit and is compatible with the VM-3 series standard chassis. It receives eddy current probe signals to measure the axial thrust displacement of the rotor.
Function: VM-3D2 collects eddy current approaching probe signals and monitors real-time axial displacement (thrust shaft displacement) of the rotating unit rotor; Complete signal conditioning and range conversion; Provide warning and danger level relay alarm contacts, and output interlocking signals to the ETS protection system when exceeding the limit; Output 4-20mA analog signal to DCS to display axial displacement value; VM-3D2 is equipped with probe breakage fault detection, providing key measurement basis for thrust protection of turbine and compressor bearing shells, and preventing equipment accidents caused by thrust bearing burnout.
