VM-703B is a speed and eccentricity monitoring module for the Shinkawa VM-7 series TSI system in Japan. It is installed in the VM-761B rack slot and supports magnetic electric speed probes and eddy current probes to measure rotor speed, acceleration, steering, and shaft eccentricity.

Function: VM-703B is used to receive speed probe signals, collect unit speed, acceleration rate, and rotation direction, and achieve overspeed, low-speed, and zero speed protection; Receive eddy current probe to collect shaft eccentricity (shaft bending) data; Output relay alarm contacts and 4-20mA analog signals, and send speed and eccentricity values to the DCS/ETS system; VM-703B provides phase marker signals for the vibration analysis module to perform phase synchronization; Equipped with probe wire breakage detection, providing speed protection and rotor bending status monitoring basis for rotating machinery of steam turbines and compressors.

- The speed supports four alarm thresholds (HH/H/L/LL) and can be configured with overspeed, low-speed, and zero speed protection; Eccentricity has two levels of warning and danger alarm, with a software adjustable alarm delay of 0-99 seconds to avoid false start stop alarms.
- Output phase reference marker signal, which can be supplied to VM-7 series analysis module for vibration phase analysis.
- Standard 4-20mA analog output, real-time values of speed and eccentricity uploaded to DCS; Relay dry contact output, directly connected to ETS interlocking protection circuit.
- Support hot swapping, the rack can replace modules without power on, without affecting the operation of other monitoring modules in the rack; Panel LED indicator light, displaying channel normal, alarm, and probe fault status.
