M851040 (MEMU memory board) is a memory storage board card for the dedicated control system of Valmet VPA paper machines. It is used in conjunction with the M851006 SCU system control unit. As the storage medium for programs and data of the VPA system, M851040 is used to store control programs, paper machine process parameters, formula data, and historical collected data. It cooperates with the SCU main control unit to complete calculations and data reading and writing; it is equipped with a built-in backup lithium battery, which can save key process data when the cabinet loses power to prevent parameter loss. It is only used for replacing faults in old VPA control systems of papermaking.

• The dedicated MEMU memory board for the VPA system serves as the storage module for the SCU main control unit, storing paper machine control programs, process formulas, and calibration parameters.
• It comes with a 3.6V backup lithium battery, which ensures that the process data in the RAM is not lost even after the system is powered off, preventing the resetting of paper machine parameters.
• The power-on automatic memory self-check can identify memory faults and battery under-voltage, and the fault status is reported to the SCU unit via the backplane bus
