M8512271 is a binary I/O interface module for the Valmet VPA paper machine dedicated control system, used in conjunction with the M851006 SCU main control unit. M8512271 is responsible for collecting on-site digital switch signals and outputting relay switch signals, completing signal acquisition and driving of paper machine on-site limit, alarm, solenoid valve, indicator light and other equipment; Through VPA backplane bus and SCU main control, data exchange is carried out, device status is uploaded, control instructions issued by the main control are received, and channel fault diagnosis is also available. Used for replacing faulty boards in the VPA subsystem of old paper production lines.

• 16 mixed digital channels, integrating digital input and relay dry contact output, with one module simultaneously completing on-site switch acquisition and device driving.
• Relay dry contact output, strong and weak electrical isolation, can directly drive solenoid valves, on-site sound and light alarms, contactor circuits, and adapt to AC/DC loads.
• Electrical isolation is established between the on-site circuit and the system backplane to suppress static electricity in the paper machine workshop and electromagnetic interference caused by motor start stop, and to protect the SCU main control board.
• Built in channel level hardware self diagnosis can detect channel disconnections, module power supply abnormalities, relay faults, and upload fault information to the SCU unit.
• The panel is equipped with LED status indicator lights, which respectively indicate module operation, bus communication, input/output status of each channel, and fault alarms, making on-site troubleshooting intuitive.
• Standard VPA rack slot installation, supporting quick insertion and removal, reducing downtime for paper machine maintenance.
• The circuit board is equipped with a three proof protective coating, which is resistant to moisture, fiber dust, and vibration, and is suitable for harsh working conditions in the papermaking and pressing sections.
• Native VPA backplane bus, directly paired with M851006 SCU controller, modular combination, flexible expansion of switch measurement points.
