ProSoft MVI69E-MBS Modbus Serial Communication Coprocessor Module

MVI69E-MBS is a Modbus serial communication coprocessor module designed by ProSoft for the Rockwell CompactLogix (1769) PLC rack. MVI69E-MBS can achieve protocol conversion between CompactLogix controllers and serial Modbus devices. The dual serial ports can be independently configured as Modbus master or slave, supporting Modbus RTU/ASCII. MVI69E-MBS has independent processing of serial communication tasks and does not occupy PLC scanning cycles; Collect serial data from frequency converters, instruments, weighing controllers, and old RTU devices and upload it to CompactLogix. At the same time, issue PLC control instructions to on-site serial Modbus devices to solve data interoperability between Rockwell PLCs and third-party serial devices. MVI69E-MBS also comes with a debugging network port for module parameter configuration and fault diagnosis.

1. Independent coprocessor architecture, serial communication operations are independently completed by the module, occupying almost no CompactLogix CPU resources and not affecting the PLC scanning cycle.
2. Dual isolated serial communication ports, each port can be independently set as a master or slave station, supporting three electrical interfaces: RS232/422/485, and adapting to multiple on-site serial port wiring methods.
3. Supports both Modbus RTU and Modbus ASCII protocols, compatible with a large number of old-fashioned serial port instruments and controllers.
4. Equipped with AOP additional configuration files and AOI function blocks, directly configured in Studio5000 software, built-in UDT custom data types, simplifying program development.
5. Supports non-standard floating-point formats such as Enron and Daniel, and is compatible with special equipment such as flow meters and weighing instruments.
6.  Equipped with Legacy compatibility mode, it can directly replace the old MVI69-MCM module, and the renovation of old projects does not require large-scale modification of PLC programs.
7. Module diagnostic information is directly mapped to PLC tags, allowing real-time viewing of serial communication status and error messages in the program or upper monitoring, facilitating fault location.
8. Panel LED indicator lights display module operation, backplane communication, two-way serial communication, and configuration status.
9.  Equipped with a built-in debugging Ethernet port, the computer can directly access module web pages, monitor communication messages online, and download firmware.
