X-CPU 31 is an integrated safety CPU processor module specifically developed for small and medium-sized safety applications under the German HIMA HIMax platform. Integrating the CPU core and system bus functions, without the need to separately configure the X-SB01 bus module, it saves rack slot resources and reduces the overall system hardware cost. HIMax X-CPU 31 adopts a two-out-of-two lockstep fault-tolerant architecture, achieving SIL3 safety certification. It is designed for small and medium-sized safety interlock scenarios in process industries, compatible with the entire HIMax hardware ecosystem, supports online program modification and hot-swappable hardware replacement, and the system does not require downtime to ensure continuous operation of the device.

Main function
- Safety logic operation: Execute user written safety control programs, complete safety interlock logic judgment, and achieve safety functions such as emergency stop, fire and gas protection, and equipment interlock protection.
- I/O management scheduling: Unify the management of all safety I/O modules in the local and remote expansion racks, collect on-site signals, output safety action instructions, and support up to 512 points of safety I/O signal processing.
- System bus control: Built in system bus function, completes data exchange between modules in the rack, supports dual bus redundancy, and ensures reliable and stable communication between modules.
- External communication and interaction: communicate with the upper computer HMI, SCADA, and third-party PLC through Ethernet and RS485 interfaces; Support secure protocol transmission of secure data, enabling event recording, status uploading, and parameter interaction.
- Fault diagnosis and event recording: Real time diagnosis of hardware, bus, and I/O faults, saving SOE event timing records, and driving output to enter preset safe states when faults occur, facilitating fault investigation and traceability.
- Online maintenance: supports non-stop program download, module hot replacement, online verification testing, and completes maintenance work during device operation to reduce downtime losses.
