ICS Triplex T8310C TMR Triple Redundancy Extended Processor Module

ICS Triplex T8310C is a Rockwell ICS Triplex Trusted Security System TMR Triple Redundancy Extended Processor Module. The main controller rack is connected to the remote expansion I/O chassis through T8310C to build a multi chassis distributed Trusted security system; T8310C serves as the local TMR processing unit for the expansion chassis, managing all I/O modules inside the chassis, completing I/O signal acquisition, voting, and local fault diagnosis, and exchanging data with the main CPU rack through the high-speed expansion bus. T8310C can cascade multiple expansion chassis, breaking the limit of the number of I/O measurement points on a single rack, and is used for large-scale ESD, F&G safety instrumented systems to ensure the fault tolerance and safety functions of the entire SIS system.

Product features

1. Adopting TMR triple redundant HIFT hardware fault-tolerant architecture, 3-2-0 fault mode, single channel fault does not interrupt the expansion chassis I/O acquisition and safety functions.
2. Support cascading expansion of multiple chassis, using ordinary twisted pair UTP high-speed expansion bus to break through the slot limit of the host rack and significantly increase the system I/O capacity.
3.  It has the ability to isolate faults and limit internal faults of the expansion chassis to the local area, without spreading and affecting the main controller rack and other expansion chassis.
4. The backplane adopts dual redundant 24VDC power supply to eliminate the risk of system shutdown caused by single power supply circuit failure
5.  The module supports hot swapping, and online maintenance and replacement of modules do not require downtime, without affecting the entire SIS safety protection function.
6.  Built in complete hardware self diagnosis, real-time monitoring of module itself, backplane bus, and expansion bus faults, and intuitive display of status on the front panel LED.
7.  Local management of all DI/DO/AI/AO I/O cards in the expansion chassis, sharing the computational pressure of the main CPU and improving the overall system response speed.
8.  Native compatibility with Trusted full range of I/O modules, used in conjunction with T8110 main CPU and T8151C communication module, with unified configuration software
