ICS Triplex T8151C is a communication interface module for Trusted security control systems, belonging to the TMR triple redundant security platform supporting communication unit.
T8151C serves as the Trusted controller’s external communication gateway, sharing the communication load of the main processor and enabling data exchange between the security system and DCS, upper HMI, SCADA, and third-party instrument devices. T8151C supports Ethernet and multiple serial interfaces, and can upload interlocking status, alarm information, SOE event sequence records of ESD systems, as well as receive monitoring instructions issued from external sources; T8151C can be configured with 4 modules in a Trusted rack to ensure reliable and fault-tolerant data transmission between the security system and external control system, without affecting the execution of security protection logic.

Product features

1. The module independently shares communication tasks, reduces the communication load of the TMR main controller, and ensures that safety logic operations are not affected by external communication traffic interference.
2. Equipped with dual Ethernet ports and four configurable serial ports, supporting both network and serial communication media, suitable for diverse external device access.
3. Native support for Modbus slave protocol, expandable Modbus master and SOE event sequence recording function based on Modbus, facilitating event tracing.
4. The module supports hot swapping, and online maintenance and replacement will not interrupt the Trusted system’s security protection function, reducing the risk of device shutdown.
5. The front panel comes with a diagnostic serial port and status fault indicator light, which allows for quick viewing of communication link status during debugging and inspection, making fault location convenient.
6. Satisfy SIL3 functional safety certification, the communication link has fault tolerance capability, and a single point of communication failure will not cause safety system failure.
7. A single Trusted rack can accommodate up to 4 T8151Cs, making it convenient for parallel docking of multiple external systems and flexible system expansion.
8. Using a backplane bus to communicate with TMR processors, the hardware architecture is fully compatible with the Trusted platform and comes with I/O modules of the same series
